Minnie Mouse Cake

Back at it again! Hi, guys! It is always a great feeling when you decorate a cake from scratch to finish. The joy you get once you've done with your work is really amazing and honestly, quite breathtaking most of the times. And that's mainly because you always put an extra effort into decorating a cake.

Before you start with your work, you always have an idea on how it's going to look like once it's all finished. However, that's not always the case, because, there's always room for improvement and improvisation and I always get caught to it. Whilst decorating, I always add up couple of small details into my cakes, the concept stays the same but the little added details makes all the difference once it's all finished.

The little girl really liked this Minnie Mouse Cake, so I hope you all like it as well! ;)

Baby Shower Cake

Ingredients:

1. 400g plain flour
2. 1 tsp ground cinnamon
3. 1/2 tsp bicarbonate soda
4. 170g dark brown soft sugar
5.  70g golden caster sugar
6. 250ml sunflower oil
7. 4 eggs
8. 3-4 unpeeled apples
9. 140g walnuts, roughly chopped

Hello everyone. As you may notice this baby shower cake is decorated  similar to my previous cake and the recipe  is pretty much the same as the last baby shower cake. The design of this baby shower cake is probably one of the easiest designs that you can make at home. That being said, it's also very beautifully decorated. You can also add small different details around the cake, use your creativity and inspiration if you feel that's something missing with your cake. The one thing I like most about this specific baby shower cake is the clean design. As I said, It gives you the freedom to play with different figures on the cake. You can change figures and small details easily from the cake without damaging the fondant itself.

  4. 150g dark brown soft sugar

Next, add the oil, eggs and apples, and beat everything together. Fold in the walnuts then divide the mixture between the tins and bake for 45 minutes, or until you think the cake is baked the way you like it. Finally, make sure that you allow the cake to cool for a few minutes in the tin and you're all done!

Baby Shower Cake

Hello bloggers! Finally, I'm back and exited to share my new cakes and recipes with all of you out there. This last couple of months I've been really busy baking cakes and working on my regular job, but I'm here and we're going to start with something special, a baby shower cake to mark my return on this blog and later I'm going to give you the cakes recipe.

Ingredients (chocolate cake):

  1. 400g butter
  2. 2 cups brown sugar
  3. 1 cup plain flower (1/2 cup)
  4. 1 cup self raising flour
  5. 1 cup Cadbury Cocoa
  6. 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate soda
  7. 1 cup (250ml) milk
  8. 2 teaspoons instant coffee powder
  9. 1/3 cup (80ml) boiling water

Note:

Make sure you preheat the oven to 180'C, use an electric mixer to beat the butter and sugar, than add the eggs one at a time, beating well between each egg you put in a big bowl. Next, take the mentioned ingredients such as  plain flower, flour, soda and milk put them on a separate bowl and stir until those ingredients are combined. Finally, you bake the cake in preheated oven for 1 hour or when you see that the cake has baked enough it doesn't have exactly 1 hour. When you take the cake out of the oven make sure you set aside for 5 minutes.
This is a short description of a chocolate cake, if you want a fully detailed description fell free to ask. Hope you liked it. Take care!
